Introduction:

According to an ancient scriptures, the antiquity of ‘Shri Nakoda Jain Parshwanath Tirth’ is associated with the period of Mahabharata- Shri Neminath Bhagwan Ji. It is the ancient Jain pilgrimage of Rajasthan. The village Nakoda is situated on the banks of the Luni river, Balotra-Sindhri highway. In 1502, Shri Nakoda Jain Parshwanath Tirth was established by Acharya Shri Jin Kirtiratnasuriji. Later, the entire place was degraded by Kshatriya king along with the chief of Mahajan family and it was abandoned by the Jain society. Gradually, it’s fame and shrine was evacuated. In 1959-60, Sadhvi Pravartini Shri Sundarashriji M.S. and Acharya Shri Himachal Suryaji started the work of this pilgrimage. With their continuous efforts and hardwork, this pilgrimage is continuously developing day by day.

Importance:

There are tree temples - the main temple is of Shri Nakoda Parshwanath Bhagwan Ji, second temple is of Shri Adinath Bhagwan Ji and the third temple is of Shri Shantinath Bhagwan Ji. All the three temples have built with an excellent architecture. Apart from this, there are various temples. The idol of Lord Shri Parshwanath Ji is the main idol of this shrine and it is famous as Nakodaji in the world. Some idols of Gods and Goddesses are situated here from the time period of an emperor Ashoka. Many Jain and Non-Jain devotees visit here. This place is full of miracles. An ancient idol of Shri Parshwanath Bhagwan Ji is very impressive and full of miracles. Many devotees come here to fulfill their wishes. Around the temple, the view of hilly area is so pleasing. Unique sculptures of the main temple is worth to see. It’s a healing temple for mind, body and soul. This place is very huge and awesome. The vibes are full of positivity.
